Hi, my name is Lili, my family calls me Mimu. I live in Vancouver, British Columbia, Ottawa, ON, Canada, the coldest capital city in the world. During the day, I play with statistics, write about numbers, sometimes day-dreaming a little, just like anyone else, except I dream about what I will make for dinner. I believe every meal can be a celebration, even just for one person. And food is the shortest path to my heart. 

In Chinese, we have a saying: “min’yi’shi’wei’tian– 民以食为天”, or literally translated as “to people, to eat is the destiny”.  This pretty much sums up about my attitude towards food and anything related. People who knows me often say that I chose a wrong profession, I should become a pastry chef in stead. Who knows, maybe one day, I will.
